State Farm® Insurance Agent Jake Lewandowski

"Buyer Beware! Unsure about other State Farm agencies, but this one in particular will quote you a lower price to get your business; and then when it’s time for renewal, they just raise your insurance without an explanation letter. As to understand the reasoning behind the major increase. Then, when you call to ask the reason for the increase; you get 2 conflicting responses from Rose and Jake. I told Jake I’d be calling back in a couple days to see what solutions he came up with to get my insurance back down to 350 a month, instead of 379. I called back on a Friday, spoke with Rose again, and received a 3rd conflicting reason why the insurance was raised. I was also told that Jake would be in the office until the following week, and he did not put any notes in the computer for a conflict resolution to this problem. After reviewing my policies carefully myself, I found that they had raised my Homeowners insurance by 300$ a year for a two year old house. As for my car insurance, Jake told me it was because they re-evaluated the cost of replacement for my Durango and it was going to cost more to pay off for a total loss. It just so happens that they re- evaluated this during the fall of this year, when the new 6-10% decrease was supposed to happen from the HB 837 Bill from 2023. Jake confirmed that it normally takes 2-3 years for these bills to take effect, and this is a perfect example of how this company “plays with the numbers” to avoid State Laws that are passed to help lower insurance rates. Given the fact that instead of a 6-10% decrease, I received an 8% increase; which in reality is more like a 14-18% increase; since they railroaded HB837 by “playing with the number”."
